What’s your “purpose” or “why”?

What’s your “purpose” or “why”?

One of the first things I like to work with my mentees is helping them discover their “purpose” or their “why" in life.

When you find it, it becomes your north star!

When you know your “purpose” or “why”, it can help you with deciding on big career decisions, like a role change or a job change or just help you get your mojo back in your current role.

So if you are looking to discover your “purpose” or your “why”, here are my 3️⃣ tidbits for you to consider.

1. Watch this

If you haven’t seen it or haven’t watched it for awhile, check out Simon Sinek’s Ted Talk, “How great leaders inspire action”.

It is one of the most watched Ted Talk’s of all time with over 64,000,000 views.

2. Read this

Harvard Business Review article, From Purpose to Impact, by Nick Craig and Scott A. Snook presents a step-by-step framework that leaders can use to discover your “purpose” or your “why”.

3. Write it

Have a go at writing down your “purpose” or “why” after watching and reading the above.
