Mistakes - everyone makes them

Mistakes - everyone makes them

We are human after all.

So what do you do when you’ve made a mistake at work? Here are my tidbits when it come mistakes:

1. Own it

It’s important to admit the mistake. It's a sign of maturity. Reflect on what went wrong and how you can prevent it in the future. There is always a lesson to be learnt.

2. Rebuild Trust Through Actions

Actions speak louder than words.

When you make a mistake, it is important to take action to show others that the mistake was an aberration. Consistently show up and take action and trust can be restored over time both with stakeholders and most importantly yourself.

3. Proof is in the pudding

Learning from your mistakes and making the right choice through actions, proves to yourself you can do it right. It also helps change the narrative with yourself and improve your confidence.

Remember mastering mistakes, means mastery!
