You should do the hard things
Generally, humans like to avoid hard things…
But doing hard things is one of the most powerful gifts you can give yourself.
It definitely has helped me, especially in the last couple of years.
Here are my three tidbits when it comes to doing hard things:
1. Reframing your language
When you label yourself, you're reinforcing a belief that you will always be that way.
But that's incorrect.
A simple tweak to the way you speak to yourself and when referring to your abilities to others can change how you see ourselves, which changes how you feel and what you can achieve.

Reframe, reframe, reframe.
2. Don’t be shy
When we shy away from hard things, even mildly challenging tasks start to seem insurmountable. We start procrastinating, doubting our capacity to learn new skills, switch roles or break free from the monotony.
3. Tiny Transformations
The ability to do hard things is important in building resilience in yourself and something you should foster in your children. Proving to yourself that you can do them is an anchor point for you to refer back to when things get tough.
And doing more hard things you push yourself to do, helps change your identity.
But doing the hard thing isn’t just about taking one big action. By reframing and taking small consistent actions or tiny transformations you start to move towards accomplishing the hard thing.
Embrace the obstacles because they build resilience and can change the trajectory of your life.
